Mary J. Blige Has a Shady New Design Venture: Movie-Star Sunglasses

With a signature scent and do-gooding designer collaborationalready under her belt, Mary J. Blige is now adding sunglasses to her fashion resume with a new star-worthy collection of shades. The R&B sensation has teamed with activewear brand Orange 21 to create Melodies by MJB, a signature line of sunglasses set to hit stores in October. The first collection will consist of four styles including aviators, classic oversize and a geometric-retro shape, and will retail from $165 to $225 at Bergdorf Goodman and Nordstrom, reports WWD. “I want women to be able to hide behind their glasses,” but also “be fashion-forward and comfortable,” Mary tells publication. “I didn’t make any Grandma glasses.” Mary will also star in the new line’s ad campaign–and so far, we like what we see! Tell us: Will you buy Mary J.
