Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler will be joining Randy Jackson at the judges' table when American Idol kicks off season 10 in January.

"I'm looking for the next Michael Jackson," Lopez said before a screaming crowd at the Los Angeles Forum after Ryan Seacrest introduced her. "We're looking for the best American Idol ever."

The announcement was made during a live press conference Wednesday. Seacrest hosted the event, telling the crowd, "We are looking for the next star in music. We usually ask, who will be the next American Idol? We never asked this question, who will be the next judges on American Idol?"

Seacrest then introduced Randy Jackson, who told the crowd, "We found some unbelievable talent and I am calling season 10 the remix, baby!"

Up next, Tyler was introduced as a "rock legend." The Aerosmith frontman said joining the Idol family feels "fabulous."

"[It] feels like the perfect feathered nest," he said. "It's being a part of something much bigger than yourself. I want to bring some rock to this roller coaster."

Lopez, who dressed in a silver pant suit, was the last to be introduced.

"I love you guys. I am so excited," she told the crowd that included Idol hopefuls, there to try out for the show. "It is about concentrating in the moment, do the best you can. Just live! Just live, it's your moment."

The announcement comes with little surprise. In weeks leading up to the decision, sources told PEOPLE Lopez signed the deal worth $12 million. And Tyler himself said he would "probably" be a judge when the show returned in the winter.

His castmate Michael Douglas revealed this month that he has stage 4 throat cancer, but Shia LaBeouf thinks the veteran actor can handle anything that comes his way. "He is a wolf! He's a strong man," Shia told In Touch at the New York premiere of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps on September 20. While filming the movie last year, Michael had already been dealing with a slew of devastating personal issues — including his troubled son Cameron's drug bust and impending prison sentence — yet never let his problems hinder his work. "He showed up on set and he was dealing with a lot, but never was it ‘woe is me.’ Ever," Shia added. The young actor also gushed about his girlfriend, English starlet Carey Mulligan, whom he met while working on the film. "She has a face that you could stare at for miles, miles, miles. She wears her soul on her sleeve. She’s an incredible actress," he said.

Paris Hilton pleaded guilty this morning to two misdemeanors in her drug possession case. The socialite will not be going to jail, however. Rather, she received a year of probation, which means if she is arrested for anything other than a minor traffic violation, she will spend one year behind bars. Paris must also complete a substance abuse program, pay a fine of $2,000 and do a minimum of 200 hours of community service. The judge also pointed out to the hotel heiress that "The Clark County Detention Center is not the Waldorf Astoria."

Paris was arrested on August 27 when she was pulled over on Las Vegas Boulevard with cocaine in her purse.

Three days after admitting that she violated her probation by failing at least one drug test, Lindsay Lohan is facing an arrest - and possibly another stint in the slammer. Though she has avoided the full impact of the law in the past, this time, the judge may not be lenient - Lindsay faces up to 30 days in jail for each failed drug test.
