Mischa Barton was arrested on a drunk driving charge in Los Angeles in December 2007
Vince Vaughn was arrested by North Carolina cops in April 2001 and charged with fighting in public for his part in a brawl outside a New Hanover County bar (the movie star was in town working on the film "Domestic Disturbance").
This mug shot of The Game (real name: Jayceon Taylor) was snapped in March 2008 after the rapper entered a Los Angeles County lockup to serve a 60-day jail term for possession of a firearm in a school zone.
Rapper DMX (Earl Simmons) was arrested twice in June 2008 in Florida. The first time was for not having a valid driver's license, the second time was for allegedly attempting to buy drugs from an undercover police officer. These two arrests followed two other arrests in Arizona in May, 2008.
Jeffrey Wright, along with fellow cast and crew members of the Oliver Stone film "W", were arrested in July 2008 for allegedly participating in a drunken brawl at a Shrevesport, Louisiana bar.
Ryan and Redmond O'Neal

The trial that was 6 years in the making is over, and rapper R. Kelly, has been found not guilty on all 14 charges.
In the end it all came down to whether or not it was in fact R. Kelly and the female in question in the video that was sent, anonymously, to authorities.
Both R. Kelly and the girl in question claimed it was not them in the video and prosecutors were unable to disprove them.
This time around Lindsay was picked up for DUI, driving on a suspended license, and possession of cocaine. Lohan, whose latest mug shot is seen above, refused to take a Breathalyzer test at the scene but flunked it later at the police station
Khloe Kardashian is also part of the category of celebrities that spent time in jail. She served almost.. 3 hours! She was detained after she didn’t followed her probation conditions after a trial in which she was accused for driving under the influence. The artist refused to do community work and to enroll in a rehab program
Did you knew that the beautiful Sophia Loren spent time in jail? Well it’s true because the actress spent 17 days in jail in 1982, after she was accused of tax evasion. Happily, this experience didn’t had any major effects on her career.
Lil’Kim spent almost 10 months in jail after she was accused of false testimony during a law suit. During her detention, the artist released the “The Naked Truth” album. More than that, Lil’Kim accepted to take part of the “dance with the stars” show in 2009.
Kiefer Sutherland is another name of our list of celebrities that spent time in jail. He was arrested in 2007, for 48 days, after he was accused of driving under the influence, but also for probation violation. The lesson he received in jail didn’t helped him much, because in 2009 Kiefer did something stupid again. He decided that it will be a good idea to give a beating to a designer, during a party in New York.
Martha Stewart was taken by her daughter to jail. The star was arrested in March 2005 after she was found guilty in a law suit for conspiracy and obstruction of justice. ” Surely nowhere is better than home” she said after she was released from jail. She served 5 months
Nicole Richie was arrested for…82 minutes. What was supposed to be a 4 days detention turned into a 82 minutes one because of.. lack of space. This happened in the summer of 2007 when the star, which was pregnant at that time, was sentenced to jail after she was caught driving under the influence. Later, after the toxicology reports came in, it was discovered that the actress also consumed drugs and took a few Vicodin pills, which is a very strong pain killer.
Sean Penn can’t stand the paparazzi and this was exactly what sent him behind bars. The actor was arrested in 1987, for 33 days, because hit a photographer with his car. Decades after this event, the actor return to his bad habits.
The spoiled Paris Hilton also served 23 days in jail because she was arrested for driving without a license. Although after she was released she said that “I am a better person now”, Paris did it again! We have to mention the time when she fled custody after which, while she was in Corsica, the authorities found marijuana in her possession.
Spending time in jail is something familiar to Robert Downey Jr as well. The actor spent, in total, 18 months in jail between 1996 – 2001 because of drugs abuse. ” Only when the door shuts behind you, you are really safe” Robert said about the feelings he had while he was in jail.
