Gone from "Are You There, Vodka? It's Me Chelsea" are Natalie Morales, Angel Laketa Moore and Jo Koy, The Hollywood Reporter said. Their characters reportedly are being taken in different directions. The purge first was reported by TVLine.
Morales had been set to play Handler's best friend, while Moore and Koy were to portray her co-workers at a sports bar.
The NBC show, to debut at midseason, is based on the E! talk show host's memoir of the same title and depicts the lives of Handler and her friends as early twentysomethings in Los Angeles.
Laura Prepon is still on to play Handler, alongside Mark Povinelli, Lauren Lapkus and Lenny Clarke. Handler is executive producer and will make guest appearances as her own sister.
"Vodka" is being produced by Warner Bros. Television along with Werner Entertainment and Borderline Amazing Productions.
