Julianne Hough sported a blackface Halloween costume in LA as she and friends dressed as characters from the show 'Orange Is the New Black.'

Actress Julianne Hough is doing major damage control after she was spotted wearing a blackface Halloween costume.
The Rock of Ages star (left, with glasses hanging from her collar) and a group of girlfriends dressed up as characters from the hit Netflix seriesOrange Is the New Black, which is set in a women's prison. Julianne opted to dress as the character Crazy Eyes. The actress who plays Crazy Eyes, Uzo Aduba, is African-American, so Julianne darkened her face as part of the costume.
Needless to say, Julianne's costume choice didn't sit well with many people. On Twitter, users were split between whether Julianne's costume was racist or whether it was no big deal.
Eventually, Julianne herself went online to talk about the costume and apologize.
