Drew and wedding bells

She’s not usually the traditional type, so perhaps it’s no surprise that Drew Barrymore is planning her wedding at the same time she’s getting ready for the birth of her first baby. But a source close to the star tells In Touch that the 37-year-old actress and her 34-year-old fiancé, Will Kopelman, aren’t exactly seeing eye-to-eye on the details: “Will likes to throw parties,” the source explains, “so he wants a huge celebration, whereas Drew would rather host a quiet ceremony on her gorgeous estate in Montecito, Calif.”

It’s no wonder that Drew wants to keep things low-key: After all, this isn’t exactly her first trip down the aisle — she was married to bar owner Jeremy Thomas for two months in 1994, and her 2001 union with actor Tom Green was similarly ill-fated. But the source reveals that Drew has convinced Will to go along with her plan for a close-friends-and-family-only celebration in late May by agreeing that they’ll follow it with a blow-out after the birth of their child. “Drew told Will that he can plan the party of all parties once she’s not pregnant anymore, so that she’ll be able to enjoy it, too!”

The ability to compromise is much-needed in any marriage, so this bargain seems like a good sign: Perhaps when it comes to matrimony, Drew will find that the third time is the charm!
