To prepare Katie Holmes for the Calvin Klein fashion show in New York City, Mark makeup artist Mai Quynh wanted to be sure the star's makeup was as timeless as the collection she'd be viewing. "I prepped her lids with an eye primer in a light/medium shade before applying a blend of shimmery taupe and deep gray shadow," she said. The makeup artist finished with two coats of black mascara for a look that lasted through the night.

After months of rumors regarding a pregnancy, reps for the Spanish actress confirm, “Penelope is four and a half months pregnant.” Photos that recently surfaced of Cruz, 36, sporting a baby bump on the set of her upcoming movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, only added to the speculation. Penelope Cruz married fellow Spanish actor and Oscar winner Javier Bardem, 41, in a discreet wedding in the Bahamas in July. This will be the first baby for the couple.




Ryan Reynolds isn't afraid to suffer for his art. In his new movie Buried, he plays a man buried alive in a coffin who's struggling to escape — a role which involved him constantly getting cut by the coffin's unfinished wood and getting a bald patch from where his head rubbed against the coffin floor! "I'll never, ever in my life complain on a set again after being on that set," Ryan tells the October issue of GQ. "Sixteen, seventeen days of doing that — it was such a state of emotional distress." It's not the only role that gives him flashbacks. "[Van Wilder] made me the party guy," he recalls of the 2002 comedy with Tara Reid in which he played a seventh year senior afraid to graduate college. "I would walk into a bar and people would start lining up the shots. You could sum up my career at that point as a free shot at a bar. I know it affected me more than I'm revealing because I went years without even saying the words 'Van Wilder.' Even now, when I say it, it's a bit of a stretch for me."



Some Hills fans may have been shocked to see photos of embattled couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt reunited in California over the weekend, but their former MTV co-star Kristin Cavallari would hardly be surprised to see the camera-loving reality stars back together. Gorgeous Modern Family star Sofia Vergara got a real surprise on Emmy night - a proposal from her boyfriend, Nick Loeb! According to a friend, Nick, who survived when his car careened off a cliff in California on August 23, is still recuperating, but he found the strength to propose as Sofia was getting dressed for the Primetime Emmy Awards on August 29. "They're keeping the details a secret for now, but they're engaged," the friend of the couple reveals. "That's why Sofia was glowing at the Emmys even when she didn't win a supporting actress award. She is completely in love with Nick." The actress is also riding high professionally, and with Modern Family a huge hit, the star wants a raise. According to a friend, Colombian-born Sofia, 38, who was relatively unknown in America when she was cast in the role of Gloria, "wants at least $100,000 an episode," the friend explains. "She's in negotiations with the producers."

After her abrupt exit from The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Danielle Staub has moved on. The notorious vixen will headline Social, a new reality show that will premiere in November on the WealthTV network.

"This is an opportunity for me to show my other side to fans," says the "Close To You" singer. "I have lived a whirlwind life and have dealt with people from all walks of life. Viewers will be in for some amazing surprises along this journey." According to a press release, Social will follow Danielle "as she covers exclusive events with her vast network of celebrity friends in a modern re-imagination of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.

In the series, Danielle will choose an event to attend from her busy social calendar, and then handpick a celebrity friend to visit and accompany her to the event. She will then turn to her inner circle comprised of her manager, hairdresser and two daughters to help her prepare for the celeb visit. Once there, Danielle will embark on a fun tour of the celeb home before heading to the event that can range from a birthday party to a private suite at a ballgame to a black-tie charity gala."

We somehow doubt Teresa Giudice will be making a cameo!





When it comes to the emotional pain of being cheated on, Teresa Giudice knows what she's talking about. "I had an ex boyfriend who cheated," she explains. It was a tumultuous, on-again/off again romance. During one of the periods when they were estranged, the boyfriend called during Thanksgiving, telling Teresa that he was with his mother and missed her terribly. She was swayed - until she learned that he hadn't been telling the truth. "He was in the Bahamas with another girl," she reveals. "When I found out, I was so disgusted." Another time, she confronted one of her boyfriend's other women in a nightclub - and it got physical. "That was the last time I got vicious," says Teresa, who, in high school, got suspended for giving a girl a black eye.

Former MTV VJ LaLa Vazquez got some valuable advice about living life in front of the cameras for her VH1 reality show LaLa's Full Court Wedding (Sunday, September 19, VH1, 10:30 ET) - from her pal Kim Kardashian! "Kim told me to know what you're getting into, if you're going to be shy or self-conscious or worried, then don't do it because people want to be able to connect with the real you and you have to be willing to give all of it," LaLa told In Touch at XIV restaurant's launch party for the show, which chronicles the build-up to her wedding day with Denver Nuggets superstar Carmelo Anthony. "And I was! I enjoyed it and I think the show came out really good." So will the couple's adorable 3-year-old son, Kiyan, soon have siblings? "No! Oh my god!" says the budding media mogul. "Between the show, my production company, acting and everything, I have no time for anything else!"



A year after her debut single, “Tardy for the Party,” hit the airwaves, Kim Zolciak is back with a new tune -- “Google Me”! “I am so happy to be sharing this song with my fans, and letting everyone get ready for my new music,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star tells In Touch. Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott, who recently renewed their vows, have found the secret to keeping their family bond strong: painting each other’s nails! Dean exclusively told In Touch at the Lambda Legal's 18th Annual West Coast Liberty Awards, “I call it ‘Male Polish.’ I mean we started doing each other’s nails and I love it, I’m wearing blue right now on my toes! I don’t know why everyone doesn’t do it!” In Touch learned from the reality couple that the pair even share nail polish. “I wanted to paint my nails gun metal for the night, so I borrowed [Dean’s] nail polish,” says Tori. Even the kids are in on the fun! “Whenever we can, they come get manicures and pedicures with us and they love it!” Dean says. “Liam has blue and red on his toes like Spider-Man this week and green on his fingernails like The Hulk.” By the smiles on everyone’s faces, the family that manicures together stays together!
