Beyonce put rumors to rest and kill the VMA's

Beyoncé and her closest entourage  namely husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy  did a neat job of dispelling persistent chatter that the two most high-profile parents in pop music are headed for imminent divorce on Sunday evening, when the R&B chanteuse was joined onstage by both at the 2014 Video Music Awards in a loving tribute.
Beyoncé, who was receiving the night's prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, looked taken aback (and delighted) when her spouse, carrying their little girl, came onstage following her lengthy performance to acknowledge her latest achievement.
Jay Z, with tears in his eyes, kissed his wife, while she called him "my beloved." However, it was Blue Ivy who truly stole the scene. If the toddler herself wasn’t adorable enough in her darling awards-show-worthy dress, she further captured the hearts of America by simply uttering: “Mommy!”
Cue: Heartmelt.
“I’m so full,” a visibly moved Beyoncé noted. “I’m so blessed…”

Rumors of trouble in paradise or not, Beyoncé was undoubtedly the main attraction of the entire evening, sparking social media chatter about when she'd appear in the telecast. The audience did have to cool its heels a good two hours before Queen Bey took the stage, but the superstar made sure her entrance was worthy of the wait.

“MTV, welcome to my world,” the diva calmly stated to roars from the audience. While Taylor Swift may have grabbed attention on the red carpet for her ultra-short romper look, Beyoncé neatly showed Swift how it’s done, being a well-documented veteran of the one-piece look. At this event, she chose a sparkling mirrored version with multicolored panels, giving her the look of a stained-glass window.
She then competently put the crowd in the palm of her hand with a lengthy a medley of songs comprising her self-titled album released last December, including "Mine," "Haunted," "No Angel," "Blow," "Drunk in Love," "Rocket," "Partition," "I Been in Love," "Flawless," and "XO" (featuring none other than the heart-stealing Blue Ivy).
The 2014 VMAs were held Aug. 24 at Los Angeles's Forum.
