Paula Abdul: New Gig, New Man!

It’s turning out to be Paula Abdul’s best summer ever. She’s not only waiting to take her seat at the judges’ table on Simon Cowell’s highly anticipated music competition series, X Factor, but the “Straight Up” singer has been spending the steamy months with a sexy younger man, record company owner Jeff Bratton, 32.

Paula, 49, and her hunky new beau recently shared a hot date at Santa Monica eatery M Street Kitchen. After ordering sushi and mint tea, the couple engaged in some PDA. “They were very affectionate, and seemed to really enjoy each other’s company,” an onlooker tells In Touch. “You could tell that they are very happy together.”

Paula and Jeff, who started dating in June, should get in all the alone time they can -- the star will be back in the spotlight when X Factor premieres on September 21 on FOX. “This show is kind of a [combination] of all the different careers I’ve had,” Paula recently explained of her new job. “I love nurturing raw, untapped talent.”
