All About Justin Theroux
Jordan Strauss/Wireimage.comThere are few celebrities whose private lives are as closely followed as Jennifer Aniston. People and paparazzi just can't get enough. In the past, she's been linked to Brad Pitt, Vince Vaughn, and John Mayer. But those guys are old news. This past weekend, the former "Friends" star stepped out with actor Justin Theroux at the MTV Movie Awards. Let it be known: They are a couple.
Following their big night out, Web searches on Justin Theroux soared to new heights. Online lookups on the actor spiked 763%, placing him among Yahoo's top 300 overall searches. Related queries on "justin theroux pictures" and "justin theroux movies" also roared in the Search box.
So, who is this guy? He might not be a household name, but odds are you've seen him somewhere. Best known for his offbeat roles in movies like "Mulholland Drive," "American Psycho," and "Your Highness," he has also appeared in TV shows "Sex and the City," "Six Feet Under," and, most recently, "Parks and Recreation." He's also penned several hit movies. He wrote "Iron Man 2" and co-wrote "Tropic Thunder."
Theroux has a reputation as a committed actor. He isn't afraid to speak out about the dangers of celebrity and how it might corrupt his art. In a 2001 interview, he remarked: "Your greatest asset as an actor is your anonymity. For instance, I watched the movie 'Cast Away.' It's a perfectly fine movie. But you can never fully believe that movie. How can we believe this man is being cast away? We know it's Tom Hanks, and we know the color of his couch in his house in L.A. because we saw a picture of it in People magazine."
It's an ironic statement, to be sure. With his new super-famous special lady at his side, Theroux's anonymity is about to take a huge hit. Don't be surprised if the pair appears in People magazine in the very near future. Just don't expect Theroux to buy a copy.
