You can call Christian Siriano a lot of things, but lazy ain’t one of them.
The winner of season 4 of “Project Runway” has had design projects with Puma, LG Lotus Phone, Bluefly, Victoria’s Secret (makeup), Payless Shoes, Gaia Online and even Fierce Mamas (maternity wear).
In between appearances on “Ugly Betty” and Estelle’s music video for “No Substitute Love,” he’s designed his eponymous collection with splashy runway shows during New York Fashion Week, catapulting himself to the top of the apparel pyramid with front-row celebs and backstage buzz.
Now he’s partnering with Spiegel for a capsule collection that will debut April 4 at Spiegel.com. Look for a big marketing push in March.
Siriano came up with 10 special occasion dresses (cocktail, prom, evening gown, tailored dinner suit, etc.) that will retail between $49 and $800.
