Emmy's Red Carpet 2010: What is your grade?

Stephanie Pratt
Grade: D+

The former star of "The Hills" received a "Mad Men" makeover from E! Unfortunately, Pratt's lavender-and-lace smock and "Valley of the Dolls" hair failed to capture the swinging spirit of the '60s

Sarah Hyland
Grade: B-

“Modern Family’s” oldest daughter was all grown up in her silk Pamella Roland gown and matching embroidered metallic clutch.

Eva LaRue
Grade: C-

Despite her fit figure, the “CSI: Miami” star struggled to make this white asymmetrical gown work on the red carpet.

Amber Riley
Grade: B

The "Glee" ballad belter picked the perfect Grecian gown for her hourglass figure. The frock's sparkling cinched waist accentuated her curves in all the right places.

Betty White
Grade: C+

We have nothing but love for the 88-year-old comeback kid, but we think she could have done better than selecting this tie-dyed chiffon two-piece as her Emmys ensemble, which she inexplicably paired with gold shoes.

Rutina Wesley
Grade: B+

The “True Blood” babe made a bold statement in an abstract graphic-print gown. While most couldn’t pull off this daringly different design, Wesley killed it on the red carpet.

Padma Lakshmi
Grade: B

Despite her ratty 'do, the "Top Chef" host still managed to impress in a navy chiffon Carolina Herrera strapless gown and gorgeous statement necklace from the designer's jewelry collection.

Ryan Kwanten
Grade: A

The "True Blood" hunk stood out in a sea of black tuxes thanks to his dark plaid, double-buttoned suit, splashy red tie, and sexy scruff.

Wanda Sykes
Grade: B+

The hilarious comedienne -- nominated for Outstanding Variety, Comedy or Music Special -- looked better than ever in a shimmering golden gown.

Glenn Close
Grade: A-

Grand dame of drama Glenn Close rocked an edgy design by Rubin Singer.

Christina Hendricks
Grade: D

The "Mad Men" bombshell looked like a saloon girl gone bad in her feathery lavender Zac Posen ensemble.

Nina Dobrev
Grade: A+

The “Vampire Diaries” ingĂ©nue was simply stunning in a silk Zuhair Murad masterpiece. Chopard diamonds and a classic updo set off her gorgeous metallic gown.

Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt
Grade: B-

The couple that dresses together ... stays together? "Mad Men" Best Actor in a Drama nominee and his longtime girlfriend both donned Giorgio Armani for the big night.

Lea Michele
Grade: A

The birthday girl (she turned 24 on August 29) rocked a formfitting ruffled Oscar de la Renta gown. Her sweetheart neckline was the perfect complement to her Lorraine Schwartz necklace.

Julie Bowen
Grade: B+

Sofia's equally stunning co-star (and fellow Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy nominee) sported a figure-flattering J. Mendel dress, which she accessorized with Neil Lane jewelry and a Jimmy Choo clutch.

Sofia Vergara
Grade: A

The sexy "Modern Family" mom was flawless as usual in a gold sequined Carolina Herrera gown.

David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris
Grade: B, A

The expectant dads made a dapper duo, but NPH managed to outshine his main squeeze in a gray retro Calvin Klein suit and skinny tie.

Tina Fey
Grade: B+

She's had a long history of red carpet fashion faux pas, but the funny lady scored a win in this beaded Oscar de la Renta frock.

Anna Paquin
Grade: B

Though we loved the gold epaulette-style shoulder detailing on the "True Blood" beauty's daring Alexander McQueen dress, the black satin bottom left us feeling a little blah.

Kyra Sedgwick
Grade: A

The Best Actress in a Drama winner put her best foot forward in a textured dusty rose chiffon Monique Lhuillier gown. Long loose waves and a retro blush clutch completed the Emmy Award-winning ensemble.

Kris Jenner
Grade: C

Sadly, Kim's mom picked a dress that wasn't quite as figure flattering. The cinched waist created an unfortunate pear-shaped silhouette for the typically svelte reality matriarch.

Kim Kardashian
Grade: B+

The curvaceous reality star was a vision in her Cleopatra-esque Marchesa creation complete with stunning Lorraine Schwartz jewels and a braided updo.

Elisabeth Moss
Grade: B

In contrast, January's "Mad Men" co-star, who was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama, was smart to play it safe in a one-shoulder Donna Karan goddess gown.

January Jones
Grade: D+

In a desperate attempt to be fashion forward, the "Mad Men" actress' efforts backfired in the worst way thanks to this scaled, electric blue, hoop-skirted monstrosity by Atelier Versace. Bedhead and over $1 million in Cartier diamonds couldn't save the over-the-top getup.

Heidi Klum
Grade: A

The 37-year-old mother of four strutted her stuff in a Marchesa micro mini, spiked Christian Louboutins, and a Lorraine Schwartz ruby and diamond necklace. While she looked incredible, we can’t imagine this barely-there dress was very easy to sit through an awards ceremony in.
